“Always remember, there is nothing worth sharing like the love that let us share our name.”
Will brought me back some really great gifts from Utah. They are all filled with love and cuteness. I love that he thought of me and brought back these lovely trinkets. :)

This is why I love animals.
I’m usually not much of a fan for viral internet videos, but this 4 min clip will melt your heart!
It’s raining here today. Storming, actually.
It seems appropriate. After all, my heart is aching. I lost my sweet little hamster, Layla, this past weekend. It seems a little goofy to mourn a small pet at 22 years of age. But I never had a hamster as a kid. And Layla was much more than ordinary hamster. She was not one of the finger-snapping, viscous critters you see in the pet store. She was tame. She loved people. She was often found hanging upside from her feet in her cage just to catch some extra attention.
The ordinary lifespan of a dwarf hamster is 2-3 years. Layla lived to be three and a half years of age. She had so much life in her. I know she would of stuck around longer if she physically could of. We gave her a beautiful funeral yesterday afternoon. Five people were honored to attend. And we gave her back to the earth with her favorite treats… even a button off the remote. (She loved the remote buttons.) I know she would of been pleased.
So here I am… designing my heart out, listening to my rainy day playlist, and filled with happy memories of Layla.
RIP LAYLA December 2007 – April 2011

Whether your day is filled with thunderstorms, heartache, or just the blues, I thought I’d share my Rainy Day playlist.

I’m always on the lookout for good quotes. I’m sorting through my collection right now and trying to find some inspiration for a new project, so I thought it’d be a great time to share. Here it goes…
